Jamaica Travel Tips for Staying at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall:
- If the resort is busy head down to the pool or beach early to reserve your chair
- Try breakfast on your balcony as the room service breakfast is excellent
- Don't use the hotel phone to make international calls as guests were often over charged by a significant amount
- A round of golf at Cinnamon Hill Golf Course is included
- You can book the theme restaurants in advance by emailing the resort
- You can try the restaurants and facilities at the other two Iberostar resorts which are right next door
- Follow up with the concierge if you don't get what you need from your butler
- Request a second floor or higher room if you'd like some privacy on your balcony
- Ask for other wine selections if you're not happy with the choice as many guests were able to get their favourite wines at no extra charge
- Take a taxi from the airport for only $25 to $30 rather than wait for the van to gather all the guests and also get to avoid the line at check-in
- Most guests were able to get any special liquor requests sent to their room
- Be careful around the seaweed as you could be stung
- Request a table on the terrace at the Italian restaurant as it has much more atmosphere out there
- Don't miss the beach BBQ as the food is excellent and be sure to try the beach BBQ at the Iberostar Suites as a Jamaican steel band plays there (and not at the Grand beach BBQ)
- The "luminous lagoon" is definitely worth the trip
- Taxis just outside the resort are much cheaper (less than half)
