Couples Negril

Of all the all inclusive Couples Resorts, the Couples Negril resort gets the best reviews – it was ranked the 5th best all inclusive resort in Jamaica by travellers.  

It's a four star adult all inclusive resort about a two hour drive from the airport and about five miles to town with a craft market, etc.

 

Negril Resort Amenities

• Four restaurants:
• Cassava Terrace - buffet for breakfast, lunch and some dinners, a la carte dinner four nights a week,


• Otaheite - Caribbean / Jamaican food with dress code,


• Beach Grill - burgers, jerk chicken, and snack foods during the day; called Heliconia in the evening for Mediterranean a la carte


• Lychee – Asian with an open kitchen

• Pools with swim up bar

• Watersports (windsurfing, hobie cat, catamaran, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, scuba diving, glass-bottom boat, and waterskiing)

• Other recreational activities (basketball, volleyball, tennis, billiards, yoga classes, kickboxing lessons, dance lessons)

• No extra charge for name brand liquor.

• Mini bar restocked daily.

• Free wifi in the rooms.

• Small internet caf�.

• Shuttles to golfing three times per day.

• Smaller property feels “intimate”.

• Drink service on the beach. 

• Great all inclusive honeymoon destination.

Some travelers disliked ... 

• Night life ended early (around 10:30)

• No room service other than breakfast available

• Found some staff who didn’t appreciate tourists

• Evening entertainment was “okay”

• Room d�cor is dated

• Hotel is close to the road

• Not as “romantic” of a feel due to a large number of groups rather than couples

Tips for Staying at Couples Negril

• Some nude sunbathing so if this is an issue for you, you may want to consider another resort

• Consider booking the Timair 6 seater Cessna for the commute to the hotel rather than using the hotel shuttle. It’s just over $100 US per person, takes about 20 minutes (as opposed to the two hour drive) and you get some spectacular views of the island.

• The second and third floor rooms are more private since you don’t have other guests walking outside your windows.

• The catamaran cruise with a swim through the caves was definitely worth while.

• Make sure you try the beach grill and jerk chicken

• Try the Dirty Banana drink at the beach bar

• Of all the attractions in Jamaica you’ve got to see Dunn’s River Falls – you’ve seen the pictures and you most definitely have to try it yourself!

Negril Couples Resort Jamaica is recommended if you’re looking for all inclusive destination weddings, adult only all inclusive vacation packages, or romantic Jamaican vacations!
