Dreams Resort just missed are Top 10 Cancun All Inclusive Resorts
listing, coming in at number 11. A solid
83% of past guests would
recommend this Cancun all inclusive resort to friends.
One reviewer noted that there were weddings almost every day
of their stay.
Travelers loved:
Getting down to specifics, let’s talk about what the travellers loved
about the Cancun Dreams Resort.
- The staff
was consistently
mentioned for their friendly attitude, and no language barrier or other
communication difficulties were noted.
- The rooms, through dated, were clean and comfortable.
- The resort is quiet
and family-friendly, without the boisterous partying that
some other resorts draw.
- The beautiful
grounds including hammocks, benches, pools and beaches.
Travelers disliked:
- The main complaint was that this hotel was dated. Many guests
stated how badly the property needed a major renovation –
or, at the very least, an update in the decorating department.
- The beach
could be packed, and the chairs at both the beach and
around the pool were in short supply.
- The
pool is small
and often crowded.
- Finally, the
lagoon (apparently home to the dolphins) was described as
dirty and smelly.
- Some travelers felt there weren't enough food choices.
- The
beach chairs
on the ocean side are quite far from the water.
Tips for Staying at Dreams Resort Cancun Mexico
- Cancun’s temperatures
soar as
high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit between May and August. The rainiest
months are between September and November, and hurricane season
stretches from June to November. The best vacation packages for
Cancun are outside of these times - in December through April when
the weather is at its Caribbean finest.
- Bring your own hair
conditioner as this is not one of the amenities provided.
- Recommended Cancun things to do
include: the Selvatica Canopy Expedition and Adventure tour, Nautilus
Diving & Training Center, Cancun With Me Day Tours to see the
ruins, and Hummer Jungle Tours.
- Be forewarned that the cleaning
staff sometimes opens the room doors without warning.
- Try taking
the bus (5 minute walk) for 17 pesos for 2 people to the
flea market, shopping, or marinas.
- All inclusive vacation packages - Cancun Dreams are perhaps
best booked in the
shoulder seasons
(November, early December, and May) when the resort is less crowded
making the small pools and shortage of lounge chairs less of an issue.
Recommendation:
Dreams Resort Cancun isn’t the cheapest place, but it isn’t the most
expensive or luxurious, either. As far as all inclusive vacation
packages in Cancun go, Dreams has a lot of families and couples as
happy customers. If you are looking for Party Central, this resort
might be a bit quiet. On the other hand, if you're looking for
relatively peaceful surroundings in the middle of the Cancun
strip, you should check this resort out.
Overall,
Dreams Resort Cancun is recommended for couples looking for romantic
getaways, all inclusive wedding destinations, or families looking for a
relaxing tropical holiday.
