Hilton’s Rose Hall has earned a high 82% satisfaction rate from previous guests with the majority giving it a very good or excellent mark. Many guests thought the food was “Fab” and could not wait to return which says it all! 

Travelers loved:

• The signature water park with three terraced pools, shady cabanas, a giant 280 foot waterslide, lazy river and a jungle garden.

• Excellent food and friendly waiter service with a choice of Jamaican and international dishes.

• Convenient 15 minute transfer from the airport.

• Staff were helpful and immediately addressed any complaints such as a poor view from the room.

• Free internet and computers available within the resort for staying in touch easily.

Travelers disliked:

It was hard to find any specific dislikes and complaints from guests to Rose Hall Jamaica. Small niggles such as room location were quickly addressed with a smile, leaving only praise from happy guests. The few dislikes were:

• The pressure to buy when browsing market stalls on trips to Ocho Rios and other attractions.

• Golf is expensive costing $55 just to hire clubs.

Tips for Staying at Hilton Rose Hall Resort

• Dinner reservations are required in peak season at the most popular restaurants, so book early and dress appropriately.

• The market traders at Ocho Rios can be pushy, so be prepared to be firm.

• The all inclusive vacation packages are optional at Rose Hall but they save a fortune on the per-meal costs, particularly at the more up-market restaurants.

• There is a free shuttle downtown which makes it easy to enjoy entertainment away from the resort.

• The Illuminated Boat trip is a waste of money – unless you are looking for a boat trip in the dark.

• The best time to visit is in the dry season which is between November and April, but Jamaica vacation packages are warm and sunny all year round. During the rainy season the heavy afternoon showers quickly pass.

Recommendation:

This resort is perfect for those prepared to pay a little more for a luxury vacation. It makes a wonderful holiday for singles, couples, honeymooners and families, with plenty to occupy children at the resort.
